Billy Horschel has had an intriguing 2025 so far. The American golfer looked right for consecutive weeks and finished T-9th at Pebble Beach. However, the WM Phoenix Open and Sony Open were different stories sandwiched in. Horschel missed the cut (+1) at Scottsdale due to a lack of birdies. Round 2 was a wild ride with bogeys and eagles along with everything in between. He plays best when the putts are falling. Overall putting has been average this year where he ranked 21st in strokes gained to putting in 2024. It is early but maybe some softer greens from expected rains at Torrey Pines will help Horschel and some other normally good putters. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
