2 years agoLos Angeles Rams wide receiver Ben Skowronek might have a larger role in the Rams offense while Cooper Kupp (ankle) misses time on the IR, starting this Week 11 matchup against the New Orleans Saints. Like Kupp, Skowronek thrives in the slot. Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford likes to target the slot receiver. Skowronek was leading Allen Robinson II in targets and yards through the first few weeks of the season, but Robinson has now taken the lead. Skowronek's target share has declined since Van Jefferson returned to the lineup in Week 8. Skowronek only has 24 yards on three catches in the past three games. This week, he faces a Saints team that ranks in the top 10 in defending the pass. Even if his volume increases somewhat, Skowronek most likely will not be able to make enough of it to be a starting option.
