10/13:Montreal Canadiens goaltender Antti Niemi allowed three goals on 28 shots in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win against the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins. The veteran backup did a pretty good job against the high-octane Pens, and the game-tying goal midway through the third period by Phil Kessel came on the power play and was not Niemi's fault. Paul Byron and Jonathan Drouin beat Casey DeSmith on the first two attempts of the shootout, while Niemi shut down Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby to earn the victory in grand fashion.--Daniel E.
