Antonio Gibson Undergoes MRI Exam
3 years agoWashington Football Team head coach Ron Rivera said that running back Antonio Gibson (leg) underwent an MRI exam on his lower leg on Monday. Gibson has been playing through a hairline fracture in his shin over the last several weeks, but he may have injured another part of his leg in the Week 6 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The 23-year-old was on the sidelines late in the game with his helmet off. When we know more about the results of his MRI, we'll pass them along. While playing at less than 100 percent, Gibson disappointed with only 10 carries for 44 yards in the loss on Sunday. Pass-catching back J.D. McKissic would be a must-start if Gibson were to miss any time with his latest injury. Stay tuned for more details on the situation.
