Antonio Gibson Not Limited By Shin Injury
3 years agoWashington Football Team offensive coordinator Scott Turner said running back Antonio Gibson (shin) has not been limited by a hairline fracture in his shin. "No. He's good. He's not limited. We take care of him during the week and we make sure he's ready to go, but as of now once Sunday hits he's ready to go," Turner said. Gibson has been missing practices on Wednesdays but he returned to a limited session on Thursday and should be good to go in Week 6 against the 29th-ranked Kansas City Chiefs run defense. In the last two weeks, the 23-year-old has handled 34 carries for 123 yards and three touchdowns while catching all four of his targets for 24 yards. J.D. McKissic could see a bigger role if Washington is forced to pass more than they'd like this Sunday, but Gibson should remain locked in as an RB1 in fantasy lineups.
