Antonio Gibson Gets In Limited Work Wednesday
3 years agoWashington Football Team running back Antonio Gibson (shin) was a limited practice participant on Wednesday. Gibson continues to battle through a hairline fracture in his shin, but his production has dipped in recent weeks, and he was out-snapped 46-30 in the Week 7 loss to the Green Bay Packers by backup J.D. McKissic. It didn't help that Washington was trailing the entire day. In the last two games combined, Gibson has 24 carries for 95 yards (3.96 yards per tote) and no touchdowns on the ground while catching four of five targets for only five yards. The good news is he'll be facing a Denver Broncos defense that has allowed 406 rushing yards and four touchdowns to RBs in the last three weeks, but Gibson has become more of a low-end RB2 while playing through injury.
