Antonio Gibson, Curtis Samuel Sitting Out Wednesday
3 years agoWashington Commanders running back Antonio Gibson (hamstring) has a slightly pulled hamstring and will sit out of practice on Wednesday, while wide receiver Curtis Samuel will also take a seat after coming in a little sore on Wednesday, according to head coach Ron Rivera. The Commanders are being smart with both players, and Rivera said he's looking forward to seeing Samuel in minicamp next week. Rookie running back Brian Robinson Jr. will see some more repetitions with Gibson sidelined. Gibson should be the team's primary back in 2022, but sharing work with J.D. McKissic and Robinson will make him more of a high-end RB2 target in fantasy. Samuel's years was washed away by injuries last year, but he could be a nice low-cost bounce-back target near the end of drafts.
