Anton Khudobin Solid In 2-1 Overtime Win
7 years agoBoston Bruins goaltender Anton Khudobin made 27 saves and allowed just one goal in the Bruins Saturday overtime win over Montreal. Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher scored the only goal for the Habs halfway through the first period with a snap shot that Khudobin may have been screened on. Khudobin, who got the start while Bruins top goalie Tuukka Rask nurses a minor injury, made some impressive saves during the match and kept Boston in the game. The 31-year-old now owns a .921 save percentage and a 2.34 goals-against average. The Bruins will play 19 games in the final 36 days of the regular season and will most likely turn to Khudobin for more than just back-to-back games as they prepare for a playoff run. Khudobin should be at the top of your wish list if you’re seeking goaltending help from a spot starter.
