3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians said that safety Antoine Winfield Jr. (foot) will not play in Week 16 against the Carolina Panthers. Winfield will miss his second straight game and leave the Buccaneers secondary even more vulnerable. The second-year defensive back entered the week as the No. 27 fantasy defensive back in IDP leagues with 49 tackles, one sack, six passes defensed, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 11 games played. Tampa's defense will no doubt miss his playmaking abilities, but the Buccaneers defense/special teams remains a top-five fantasy unit this weekend against a Panthers offense that could be without their top receiver in D.J.
