Anthony Rizzo Out Sunday With Back Tightness, Listed Day-to-Day
6 years agoChicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo (back) will sit from Sunday's series finale with Milwaukee after experiencing back tightness and will be day-to-day. With the Cubs set to have Monday off, the team saw it worthy to sit Rizzo and hope he is fresh for Tuesday, when the Cubs open up a road series with the Reds. In his place, Kris Bryant will play first and bat second, while David Bote will man the hot corner and bat sixth against Jhoulys Chacin. Bryant has been on fire recently, with four homers in his last seven games and is a fantastic DFS option, while Bote has just three hits and a run scored in his last six games played, but does offer some power potential with three homers and seven doubles on the year.
