Anthony Richardson Sr. Out in Week 6 With Eye Injury
Anthony Richardson Sr. (eye) suffered an eye injury doing band work during pre-game warmups on Sunday and is inactive for the Week 6 game against the visiting Arizona Cardinals, a source told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. It's a new low point in the former first-rounder's career after losing the starting gig to Daniel Jones to begin the 2025 season. With Richardson sidelined, rookie Riley Leonard will be forced to serve as the direct backup to Jones for Sunday's game at Lucas Oil Stadium. It's unknown at this time if Richardson will be available to back up Jones next week on the road in Los Angeles against the Chargers. Richardson has only appeared in two games so far this year and has completed one of his two pass attempts for nine yards.
