Anthony Rendon Remains Out Against Dodgers
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon (shin) is missing from the team's starting lineup again on Friday for the series opener against the crosstown Los Angeles Dodgers. Mike Moustakas will make the start at the hot corner and bat sixth in the lineup against Dodgers right-hander Tony Gonsolin. Rendon fouled a ball off his left shin on the Fourth of July on Tuesday and hasn't played since, although he's expected to avoid the injured list and play at some point this weekend to close out the first half of the season. The 33-year-old can't seem to stay healthy with the Angels and continues to disappoint fantasy managers with a .236/.361/.318 slash line, only two home runs, six doubles, 22 RBI and 23 runs scored in 43 games (183 plate appearances).
