Anthony Miller Must Step Up To Give Bears A Chance
4 years agoChicago Bears wide receiver Anthony Miller could be tasked with playing a bigger role in the offense against the Saints during wild-card weekend. The 26-year-old has disappointed this season and long ago was supplanted in the offense by rookie Darnell Mooney. But Mooney is dealing with a bad ankle injury and Miller must be ready to step up. The third-year receiver posted only 485 yards with two touchdowns this season, but Miller enjoyed perhaps his best game of the season against the Saints in Week 8. Miller posted eight receptions for 73 yards, including a season-high 11 targets, against New Orleans, but quarterback Nick Foles was under center then. Miller's offensive output has really dipped with Mitchell Trubisky back as the starter, posting only 136 receiving yards over the team's last six games. The Bears offense will face a Saints Defense that is allowing the 16th-fewest fantasy points to opposing receivers. Miller will be a lottery ticket for fantasy managers across all formats this weekend.
