Andrew Whitworth To Play In Wild-Card Game
4 years agoThe Los Angeles Rams activated left tackle Andrew Whitworth (knee) from Injured Reserve on Thursday, and he will play in the wild-card game against the Seahawks on Saturday after recovering from a torn MCL and a damaged PCL. The 39-year-old four-time Pro Bowler could be making his final postseason push for the Rams after spending the last four seasons with them. His return will be good news for whoever is under center for LA -- Jared Goff (thumb) is trying to return after having surgery to fix a broken and dislocated right thumb last week. Seattle's defense was a laughing stock in the first half of the season, but they have bounced back and have been one of the tougher units of late. They've also recorded the seventh-most sacks (46) in 2020, so Whitworth's veteran experience will come in handy.
