Colorado Avalanche goaltender Andrew Hammond turned aside 31 of 33 shots sent his way on Wednesday night in a loss against the Flyers. Hammond, called up earlier in the day, was filling in for an ill Semyon Varlamov. After a breakout rookie season back in 2014-2015 with the Senators, Hammond has spent much of the past two seasons in the AHL. In fact, Wednesday's game marked the British Columbia native's first NHL start in over a year (his last was on Feb. 7 of 2017 versus St. Louis). Should Varlamov not return to full health for Friday's game against Chicago, Hammond could become a viable streaming option for fantasy owners closing out the week.--Chase Davis - RotoBallerRead More News
