6 months agoCarolina Hurricanes rookie right wing Andrei Svechnikov posted his 11th goal of the season early in the second period of Monday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers, and that was the last straw which chased Philly goaltender Carter Hart from the action. Hart also yielded goals to center Lucas Wallmark midway through the first period and left wing Jordan Martinook just six seconds out of the room in the second. Svechnikov, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, finished the month of December with five goals. He had two goals in October, four in November and now five in December.
