Alex Wood Scheduled To Start Against White Sox On Thursday
Alex Wood is set to make his season debut against the Chicago White Sox on Thursday, facing off against Lance Lynn. The left-hander had a terrific spring training, where he posted a 3.60 ERA with 24 strikeouts over 15 innings. Wood will want to keep that going into the regular season and produce numbers better than his 5.10 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and 23.6% strikeout rate from 2022, though his 3.76 FIP is encouraging. If he can stay healthy and make 30 starts, throwing at least 150 innings for the first time since 2018, fantasy managers can get some sneaky value in all four categories.
