Washington Capitals left wing Alex Ovechkin ended a six-game goal drought on Thursday, scoring his 30th goal of the season in a 5-2 loss to St. Louis. He became only the second player in NHL history to score at least 30 goals in each of his first 14 seasons, joining Mike Gartner who did it in 15 straight seasons. At 33 years and 108 days old, Ovi also became the third player in league history to be the first to 30 goals in a season at age 33 or older. It's another huge landmark in the Russian's spectacular career. Too bad it didn't come in a winning effort. Ryan O'Reilly, David Perron, and Alex Pietrangelo all had multiple points for the Blues with Oskar Sundqvist registering the game-winning goal.--Taavi Pailk
