Alex Bregman Hitting .182 In ALCS
6 years agoHouston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman lined out with the bases loaded to send the Astros to the brink of elimination in the 8-6 loss to the Red Sox. Boston outfielder Andrew Benintendi made a fantastic, diving catch to end the Houston threat and Bregman is now hitting only .182 in the series. It has been a superstar-making season for Bregman but has been thrust into the leadoff spot to jump-start the offense. The Astros will go up against Red Sox starter David Price in Game 5 and Bregman slashed a robust .315/.402/.567 against left-handed pitching during the regular season. Expect Bregman to produce in this win-or-go-home scenario.
