Alex Bowman Starts Way Back In 29th For Bristol
9 months agoAlex Bowman did not have the qualifying run expected of him. The Hendrick Motorsports car looked slow throughout practice and then worse during qualifying. Well, Bowman was 28th in practice a full 0.6 seconds off the lead time. He wound up 29th in qualifying. Bristol can be a place to gain positions but also lose laps too. An average lap is around 15.5-15.6 seconds. Going back to concrete from dirt may skew historical results a bit. However, Bowman had an average start of ninth the past three years. It could be a bit of a struggle on Sunday for the No. 48 Chevy.
