Alejandro Kirk Dealing With Hand Contusion
1 year agoToronto Blue Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk (hand) had to leave Sunday's game against the Texas Rangers early with a left-hand laceration and contusion after he was hit by a pitch on his hand in his first plate appearance. X-Rays came back negative, according to the team. Fantasy managers should consider the 24-year-old backstop day-to-day for now, but don't be surprised if he's not in the starting lineup on Monday against the Miami Marlins. Kirk hasn't provided all that much offensively for fantasy managers yet this year, as he's hitting .253 (45-for-178) with five doubles, three home runs, 21 RBI and 14 runs scored in 59 games.
