Adrian Peterson Waived By Titans
3 years agoThe Tennessee Titans waived running back Adrian Peterson on Tuesday. The 36-year-old veteran was signed off the street after Derrick Henry's foot injury, but Peterson didn't make much of an impact in Tennessee's backfield, averaging 3.0 yards per carry on 27 rushing attempts for 82 yards and one touchdown in three games. He also caught all four of his targets for eight yards. Peterson and D'Onta Foreman each played only 18.5% of the offensive snaps in the disappointing loss to the Houston Texans in Week 11, with Dontrell Hilliard playing a team-high 63% of the snaps. Hilliard and Foreman could split the backfield touches pretty evenly in Week 12 against the New England Patriots, with Hilliard being the better deep-league flex option in PPR leagues if Jeremy McNichols misses another game with a concussion.
