Adolis Garcia Activated And Starting Monday
1 year agoThe Texas Rangers activated outfielder Adolis Garcia (knee) from the 10-day injured list on Monday and optioned catcher Sam Huff and infielder Jonathan Ornelas to Triple-A Round Rock in corresponding moves. The Rangers are getting both Garcia and rookie third baseman Josh Jung (thumb) back on Monday for the stretch run. Garcia is playing in right field and will hit sixth against Boston Red Sox right-hander Kutter Crawford on Monday. Garcia, 30, was an All-Star for the first time in his career this year, and he'll return to a .244/.322/.494 slash line with an .817 OPS, a career-high 34 home runs, 26 doubles, 100 RBI, eight stolen bases and 97 runs scored in 135 games (580 plate appearances). Fantasy managers will want to get Garcia back into their starting lineups.
