2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Adam Wainwright (groin) will begin the season on the injured list with a groin strain, according to manager Oliver Marmol. Wainwright is expected to be out for multiple weeks after getting injured during a workout with Team USA in the World Baseball Classic on Tuesday. The 41-year-old's already declining fantasy appeal takes another hit to begin the 2023 regular season, but he should be able to make his season debut sometime in April. With Wainwright now on the shelf, Jake Woodford will open the year in St. Louis' starting rotation.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
