The Seattle Seahawks had arguably one of the top classes in the 2023 NFL Draft. The team made 10 picks this year, including four within the first 52 selections.
Seattle had 10 picks this year, thanks to multiple trades with the Denver Broncos. The Seahawks received picks five and 37 from the Broncos in the Russell Wilson trade. The team also made a draft day trade with the Broncos.
Denver traded Seattle a fourth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and a future third-rounder for the No. 83 overall pick. The Broncos used that pick on Iowa cornerback Riley Moss.

Who Did The Seattle Seahawks Draft On Offense?
The Seahawks used their second first-round pick on Ohio State wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Fantasy players don’t love the fit with DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett on the roster. However, the former Buckeye has succeeded in college despite splitting targets with Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave, and Marvin Harrison Jr.
More importantly, Seattle used a second-round pick on UCLA running back Zach Charbonnet. Unfortunately, it makes life miserable for fantasy players. Kenneth Walker III had an excellent rookie season. Now the two young running backs will fight for backfield touches.
Seattle used three Day 3 draft picks on offense, spending a pair of selections on the offensive line. The team also used their last pick in the 2023 NFL Draft on Kenny McIntosh. With Walker and Charbonnet clearly ahead of him on the depth chart, the former Bulldog has limited fantasy value.
Who Did The Seattle Seahawks Draft On Defense?
Most mock drafts and the betting market predicted the Seahawks would draft Georgia defensive lineman Jalen Carter with the fifth overall pick. However, the team threw everyone a curve ball and picked Illinois cornerback Devon Witherspoon. Despite being a zero-star prospect out of high school, head coach Pete Carroll is a big believer in the rookie cornerback.
Seattle then used their early second-round pick on Auburn edge rusher Derick Hall. The former Tiger star had 15.5 sacks over the past two years. After using their next two selections on offense, the team loaded up on defense to end the draft.
The Seahawks spent three Day 3 selections on defense, including two on a pair of defensive linemen: Mississippi State’s Cameron Young and Michigan’s Mike Morris. Seattle also spent a sixth-round pick on New Mexico safety Jerrick Reed II. All three should play rotational snaps as a rookie.
