The 2023-2024 NBA season is here, and our friends over at PrizePicks still have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power or flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.

PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For the NBA, Single Stat consists of points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers made, and free throws made, in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Today, we will look at some single-stat scores for tonight, March 4. 

 

Single Stat NBA Totals - DFS Prop Picks

De'Aaron Fox OVER 34.5 Points+Rebounds+Assists - Although the Sacramento Kings lack the offensive firepower from last season, regardless of playoff seeding, point guard De'Aaron Fox can fill a stat sheet. In Fox's previous five games, he averaged 46 combined points, rebounds, and assists. PrizePicks set Monday's combined PTs, REBs, and ASTs line at 33.5 the night before. However, the line has since changed to 34.5. Regardless of the added point, I am still confident in taking the over.

The Chicago Bulls come into Monday's matchup with the Kings ranked 18th in defensive rating over their last five games. I don't see a low-scoring affair, which leads me to believe Fox will continue his overall productive play. Conversely, his questionable status for Monday's game due to a knee contusion is the only stipulation that invokes hesitation. However, if Fox doesn't play, the DNP status won't count against your parlay. With that said, take the over.

Ayo Dosunmu OVER 1.5 3-PT Made - Since Zach LaVine's season-ending foot surgery, the younger Bulls guards displayed an otherwise hidden offensive talent. Ayo Dosunmu, a case of the forgotten, as LaVine, frankly, sucked up Chicago's offense into a black hole. In Dosunmu's last 15 outings, the Chicago native converted an average of 2.6 three-PT shots. While the Kings are a better team, like the Bulls, defensive acumen doesn't play much of a factor in accumulating victories.

Simply put, PrizePicks set the line for Dosunmu at 1.5 three-PT shots converted, and considering Chicago's opponent, I predict the young guard will cover the over on such a number.

Giannis Antetokounmpo OVER 1.5 Blocks - Despite owning (for now) the second-best record in the Eastern Conference, the Milwaukee Bucks are a disappointment. Following the blockbuster trade for Damian Lillard, the Bucks' most news-breaking occurrence was the firing of rookie head coach Adrian Griffin as the team headed into the All-Star break. Aside from newsworthy debacles, Giannis Antetokounmpo hasn't showcased the defensive intensity of previous seasons.

Averaging a mere 0.7 BLKs in his last 15 outings, Antetokounmpo set the bar low for lines to come. However, I recently covered the over on 0.5 BLKs for Antetokounmpo, as it seems ridiculous not to expect one of the more athletically gifted players to trip into a rejection. For PrizePicks demon props, though, Antetokounmpo's line is set at 1.5 BLKs (if he covers, it multiplies your bet even more than usual) as the Bucks face the Los Angeles Clippers in a competitive matchup. I believe he's covering such a prop.

Alex Caruso OVER 8 Points - In another case of PrizePicks realizing their initial line was too low, Alex Caruso saw his points scored prop going from 7.5 to eight total PTs. Caruso averaged 9.8 PTs in his last five games, which suggests the cagey veteran will cover against the defense-malnourished product. Among the five teams, Caruso scored double-digits against the defensive juggernauts, such as the Boston Celtics and the Cleveland Cavaliers, chiefs in the Eastern Conference.

Ultimately, I'm taking the over on eight points scored for Caruso.
