NBA DFS Prop Picks for Monday (1/11/21) - Monkey Knife Fight

Jake Finnen provides his NBA DFS prop picks for January 11th, 2021 on Monkey Knife Fight. Make your DFS picks with his fantasy basketball advice.

There are eight games Monday and with all the news of COVID, you need to pay attention to who is playing in each game. Monkey Knife Fight cancels games that a contest player doesn't play in, so you are free from throwing away money, but we want contests to play in. All the games have tight spreads and only the Knicks are on the second night of a back-to-back.

Both Tyrese Maxey and Cole Anthony are the starting point guards for their respective teams and have maximized upside individually. They are capable of producing, but because they are still young, both the 76ers and Magic are going to see a boost in assists from players not normally known for their passing. Remember to stay updated.

MIL @ ORL

Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL) OVER 26.5 Points - Nikola Vucevic (ORL) OVER 20.5 Points

If he does end up playing through his back spasms, Giannis Antetokounmpo's only scored below 27 points once against the Magic in their last three meetings. That one game, he scored 19 points and grabbed 18 rebounds to go with nine assists. The Magic defense was once intimidating, and they do have paint-roaming bigs like Khem Birch, and Terrence Ross is capable of playing lockdown defense, but it's just not going to be enough to hold back the Bucks.

Antetokounmpo has upside alongside the Magic's rebounders Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic, but the pace of this game is going to be controlled by the Bucks. Since both teams are among the top in rebounding, there's a good chance Vucevic and Gordon will be two of the few Orlando players actually producing across the board.

PHX @ WAS

Bradley Beal (WAS) MORE 32.5 Points - Devin Booker (PHX) MORE 24.5 Points

Both of these players are known for their scoring, but only one has been posting consistent career-high numbers. Bradley Beal has been crushing the over lately and now that it's 32, we are banking on him having another signature game. It's a tough sell, but playing against the Suns defense won't scare many players like Beal. We need to make sure Beal is actually playing, but if he is, everything points toward the over.

As for Devin Booker, the addition of Chris Paul has raised the ceiling of the team, but individually it's affecting Booker's big games. He's yet to score 30 this season and that 25 points he needs to score isn't a guarantee anymore. That being said, this is the Wizards defense that even Bradley Beal knows is struggling beyond belief.

NYK @ CHA

Julius Randle (NYK) MORE 23.5 Points - Gordon Hayward (CHA) MORE 20.5

After scoring 29 points last night in a loss, Julius Randle looked angered by the fact that barely any other Knicks players could score, or even look to score for that matter. He should have confidence to repeat his performance and even with how Charlotte is rolling, Randle is every single bit of this offense. With last night's game getting out of hand, he was able to surpass 24 points versus Denver, so the real question here is whether or not the Gordon Hayward can bounce back from his 13 point game versus the Hawks.

Scoring 20 points hasn't been automatic for Hayward this season and with LaMelo Ball producing like he is, it seems even less likely every game. Ball and Hayward seem to have a connection and find each other for easy buckets, so even if the production seems scarce, the upside is there.

MEM @ CLE

Collin Sexton (CLE) MORE 24.5 Points - Dillon Brooks (MEM) MORE 16.5

This is set to be the closest game of the night, for obvious reasons. Both teams are struggling, but that just means we know where the production is coming from. Collin Sexton has been the best player for the Cavaliers all season and he has been leading them with his scoring. The points in the paint have been his foundation and that won't change versus this Grizzlies frontcourt.

The same cannot be said for Dillon Brooks since Andre Drummond will eat up rebounds and protect the rim, but 16 points has been his average this week. Brooks only scored 11 points despite his 30% usage last game between these two, so more points should be expected.

PHI @ ATL

Trae Young (ATL) MORE 29.5 Points - Joel Embiid (PHI) MORE 25.5

Both of these players are too talented to roll with the under, especially when one of the defenses aren't at full strength. Joel Embiid is still not cleared to play as of this moment, but Trae Young and the Hawks are still good-to-go. Young has not been playing to his seemingly normal 30 points per game, but if the 76ers are missing any pieces to their backcourt, it gives Young enough upside to take any over on him.

Joel Embiid would normally be an over versus the Hawks defense, but if he doesn't play this entire contest is kaput. Pay attention to game times and who is going to be playing so you can make sure to get some chances to win.
