NBA Daily Fantasy Lineup Picks - FanDuel Basketball Advice for 3/6/16

By Keith Allison from Hanover, MD, USA (LeBron James) [CC BY-SA 2.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

Demetri Raftopoulos highlights the top NBA DFS lineup picks for 3/6/16, as well as a couple of sleepers to keep in mind while building your roster on FanDuel.

Seven games make up Sunday's slate as the postseason rapidly approaches. Teams are clinging to playoff spots while others have basically already punched their ticket for extra basketball. This is the time of the season where things get really interesting. Competition picks up even more which typically results in stuffed stat sheets.

Andre Drummond and Giannis Antetokounmpo made the cut on Sunday; two players who have quietly found success consistently this season, overshadowed by Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors. Drummond, at one point in the season, was already being considered as an MVP-candidate.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy NBA lineup picks for FanDuel on 3/6/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players, to mid-priced options, and value plays on FanDuel.

FanDuel DFS Point Guards

Shaun Livingston (at LAL, $3,900)

Stephen Curry is the obvious option here, but Livingston should get his minutes against the Los Angeles Lakers. This game could get ugly quick and the Warriors could very well rest their star point guard in the second half, who recently missed a game last week with an ankle injury.

With Curry out of the lineup against the Atlanta Hawks, Livingston did just enough to reach projection; six points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals. In 21 minutes against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Livingston put up 11 points, eight assists, two rebounds, and three steals.

D'Angelo Russell (vs GS, $5,700)

We can ignore Russell's last performance against the Hawks, where the Lakers only scored 77 points, and simply focus on how hot he has been. Likely just a hiccup in his productive streak, Russell is a smart option at point guard, especially with Lou Williams continuing to miss time.

As mentioned above, this one could get out of hand early. Regardless, the Lakers will most likely be playing from behind, where Russell will pull the trigger often from all over the court. Jordan Clarkson also missed Friday night's game so it would definitely be wise to keep an eye on his status for Sunday. If Clarkson sits again, Russell's value increases even more.

FanDuel DFS Shooting Guards

DeMar DeRozan (vs HOU, $7,800)

It's difficult not to pick a shooting guard facing the Houston Rockets. Even better that it's DeMar DeRozan. On Friday versus the Portland Trailblazers, DeRozan scored a season high 38 points in 37 minutes, consisting of an insane 24 free throws on 25 attempts from the charity stripe.

It was DeRozan's second straight 30-plus scoring performance. All the ingredients are already stirring for DeRozan to make it three in a row, in what should be a competitive contest between two good teams, one of whom (the Rockets) doesn't play defense too well. I'm definitely a fan of stacking with multiple players in this game.

James Harden (at TOR, $10,900)

I'm typically not a fan of spending up at the two spot but today's slate leaves me no choice. Harden is undoubtedly worth breaking the bank for. He is one of the few shooting guards to really spread stats, often rebounding like a forward and dishing out assists like a point guard.

Picking Harden never needs much of an explanation but it's definitely wise to keep an eye on and focus on games that should remain close throughout. It also helps that Harden has been sizzling hot. Recently, he's posted a couple of 40 point performances, several 30 point performances, and some double-doubles. Harden is always a triple-double threat and has only scored less than 20 points in eight of 61 games played this season.

FanDuel DFS Small Forwards

Giannis Antetokounmpo (vs OKC, $8,700)

Very few have been as hot as the Greek Freak. Giannis is often overlooked but he has really come into his own in his third year in the league, averaging career highs in each category. His rebound ability has greatly improved, as he flirts with a double-double every time he's on the floor.

Giannis also posted two triple-doubles, and was one rebound shy from another in his last game Friday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Also a blocks and steals threat, Antetokounmpo and the Bucks will be battling against one of the Western Conference's top teams. This is another game I recommend stacking as the Bucks will try and keep up with the fast pace of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Tobias Harris (vs POR, $5,800)

Harris has benefited from a change of scenery and continues to be productive as a Detroit Piston. He continuously plays around or over 30 minutes, and has scored in double-digits in seven straight games. Harris is also a rebound and three-point threat, and will likely shoot often facing Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum.

FanDuel DFS Power Forwards

Serge Ibaka (at MIL, $5,900)

Ibaka always plays a lot of minutes and has also strung together a bunch of fantasy-productive games. Always a double-double threat, Ibaka has scored in double-digits in nine straight games. Ibaka can tally a bunch of blocks and steals, and can also shoot the occasional three.

Milwaukee has been a solid opponent for Daily Fantasy stat lines lately. I've been finding success stacking games involving the Bucks. They play in a ton of close games. They stay competitive with good teams. And they score a lot of points, while allowing quite a bit as well.

Mirza Teletovic (at MEM, $4,600)

The Memphis Grizzlies have given up 9.5 three pointers a game, tied for second most in the league. They have also allowed 26.4 attempts a game, second most in the league. Enter Mirza Teletovic.

Teletovic is a big threat from behind the arc and produces the most for Daily Fantasy when he attempts threes in bulk. His ceiling is high and can break out on any given night. Against the Brooklyn Nets late in February, Teletovic exploded for 31 points on a night where he attempted 13 from downtown.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Andre Drummond (vs POR, $8,500)

Drummond has posted 15 straight double-digit rebound games, 14 of which were part of a double-double. His streak of 14 straight double-doubles was snapped most recently against the San Antonio Spurs, where he was still only one point shy of making it 15 straight.

Drummond is always a solid Daily Fantasy option, especially now that his price has remained consistently affordable, opposed to where it was early in the season when his monstrous performances raised plenty of eyebrows around the league. The best part about Drummond is that he can revisit those performances and put up an insane amount of rebounds at any time.
