You don't need an expert to tell you to play Andrew McCutchen tonight against a weak left-handed pitcher at Coors. It is much more difficult, however, to sift through the cheap DFS options for the right value plays that can help you fit in the studs you want and put your lineup over the top.

That is the purpose of this article -- to provide you with the best value hitters available each day.

Today I'll be bringing you seven value hitters for MLB Daily Fantasy Baseball on FanDuel and DraftKings for April 26th, 2016. Let's get started!

DFS Hitters - Lineup Picks for FanDuel and DraftKings

1. Matt Carpenter, 3B, St. Louis Cardinals

FanDuel Price: $3,900, DraftKings Price: $4,500

Carpenter is just the fifth-most expensive third baseman on FanDuel and sixth-most expensive on DraftKings, which is far too low considering his matchup tonight.

The Cardinals draw a matchup against Shelby Miller tonight, who posted a 4.16 SIERA last season and has really struggled this season. Miller has been even worse against left-handed batters throughout his career, which bodes well for the hard-hitting left-handed third baseman.

Carpenter has hit much better against righties throughout his career and will be hitting leadoff for one of the top offenses on the board. Vegas has St. Louis projected for 4.6 runs tonight, and Carpenter should be a big part of it.

2. Brett Gardner, OF, New York Yankees

FanDuel Price: $3,200; DraftKings Price: $4,200

Gardner is also more attractive on FanDuel, where he is $1,000 cheaper.

Gardner, a lefty, has hit righties better throughout his career, and draws a favorable matchup against right-hander A.J. Griffin. Griffin had a 3.95 SIERA last season and struggled to contain left-handed batters.

The Yanks are projected for 4.8 runs tonight, which is the highest of any team not playing in Coors Field tonight. If you're going to fade the expensive Coors bats tonight, Gardner is a nice contrarian option.

3. Jose Abreu, 1B, Chicago White Sox

FanDuel Price: $3,000, DraftKings Price: $4,000

Abreu continues to struggle at the plate, but tonight's matchup with R.A. Dickey may be just what he needs to turn things around.

In his career, Abreu is 4-for-9 with 3 home runs against Dickey. Considering Dickey's struggles over the last few season, that isn't overly surprising. A general rule of thumb is to target righties against knuckle-ballers, and that has proven to be correct in this case in the past.

Abreu has hit righties better in his career, too. Everything lines up from a statistical perspective, and this could be one of your last chances to get Abreu at low ownership and price.

4. J.D. Martinez, OF, Detroit Tigers

FanDuel Price: $3,200, DraftKings Price: $3,800

Martinez has also been cold recently, but he absolutely crushed lefties throughout his career.

Considering his matchup against lefty Rich Hill, who has shown vulnerability throughout his career, Martinez is certainly worth a look in tournaments at this price. Hill has been much worse throughout his career, and Vegas has Detroit's right-handed heavy lineup projected for 4.2 runs tonight. Give Martinez a look in tournaments.

5. Steven Vogt, C, Oakland Athletics

FanDuel Price: $2,700, DraftKings Price: $3,400

After a hot streak, Vogt has went back to back games without a hit. He looks to get back on track tonight against a vulnerable right-handed pitcher in Mike Pelfrey.

Pelfrey had an atrocious 4.59 SIERA last season and was very bad against lefties.

Vogt, a lefty, has extreme splits against righties in his career. Hitting in the middle of a lineup projected for 4.8 runs tonight, Vogt is a terrific cheap option at catcher tonight.
