Spencer Howard less than 5.5 strikeouts and Chris Flexen less than 4.5 strikeouts
Quite frankly, this number is set too high for Howard, despite the fact that he is facing a Seattle team that is striking out at a rate of 28.2% over the previous 10 days. He has had a short leash every time the Rangers have sent him out there and has yet to go past four innings on the season. He has also failed to reach six strikeouts this season and just faced the Mariners on August 11th and struck out three across three innings pitched.
While Flexen has gone over this prop in two starts against the Rangers this season, the Rangers have been a much different team of late in terms of K rate. Over the previous 10 days, the Rangers have the third-best K rate in baseball against right-handed pitching with a rate of just 17.3%. Flexen has also failed to reach this total in four of his previous six starts.

Athletics @ White Sox

Dylan Cease more than 5.5 strikeouts and Cole Irvin less than 4.5 strikeouts
While Oakland has a respectable K rate vs. right-handed pitchers over the previous 10 days with a rate of 20.5%, this number is just a tad low for Cease. He has gone over this total in four straight games while facing the Royals twice in that span who compare very closely to the Athletics in terms of K rate. He has also gone over this total in all but three starts dating back to May 22nd.
Irvin will have his hands full vs. this White SOx team as they are posting a K rate of just 21.0% against left-handers over the previous 10 days. They are also posting a wRC+ of 131 vs. lefties over that same span, which ranks eighth-best in baseball. Irvin has also not been a high strikeout pitcher as he has only once in his previous five starts. He has also only gone over this total four times since June 11th.
