BALLER MOVE: Add in 14-Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 26% of leagues
ANALYSIS: It's been a fantastic career for Marc Gasol, and even though he is seeing the fewest minutes of his career for a stacked Los Angeles Lakers squad at the age of 36, the former NBA Defensive POY continues to make the most in a variety of ways in his time on the floor. Though Gasol has started in each of the Lakers' 14 games, he is only seeing the floor for 19.7 minutes on average, and in that time has been producing 4.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.6 blocks per game. He hasn't gotten as many opportunities to shoot from distance, but he has still been converting at an efficient 38.1% clip with an 87.5% success rate on free throws.
The reduced playing time hasn't been a complete value-killer, which tends to be the case when you are a part of a defending NBA championship squad, and with that role has come an efficiency-uptick in key categories, demonstrated by his 62% True Shooting percentage and career-best 6.7% block rate. Even with the scoring being consistently minimal, Marc Gasol can still fill it up on any night in rebound and assist totals, and with his lockdown shot-blocking pervading, he is still an option of considerable value in deeper leagues.
