Join the 2015 RotoBaller Fantasy Baseball Reader Leagues

Greetings RotoBaller Readers,

Over the past couple years, we have had tons of request for intra-RotoBaller fantasy baseball competition. The 2015 MLB season will mark the inauguration of the RotoBaller Reader Leagues.

The What

RotoBaller.com will be piloting a set of five Fantasy Baseball Reader Leagues for the 2015 MLB season with cash prizes for each league, a grand cash prize for the overall winner, and the opportunity to compete in an expert league for the 2016 season.

Each league will have a dedicated live chat room page on RotoBaller, like this, which will make talking trash to your fellow league mates easier than ever. Each league will also have at least one RotoBaller writer for you to compete against.

The Why

Because we love fantasy baseball. Because you love fantasy baseball. Because we all love the pride that comes along with winning. Because we can never play in enough leagues. And because competition amongst our site's most dedicated readers is long overdue!

The How

On board for the RotoBaller Reader Leagues will be Fleaflicker as the host site and SportsVault as holder and distributor of winnings.

Fleaflicker.com offers greater customization of leagues at a lower (aka free) price. If you run a home league and have been frustrated by your previously used host sites give Fleaflicker a try for the 2015 MLB sesason.

If you are tired of tracking down league members to collect dues before, during, and after the season, SportsVault can help as your collector and distributor of funds and can ease some of that hassle. Best of all, SportsVault has zero fees!

The Who

You, of course! The RotoBaller Reader Leagues will be open to the first 55 committed RotoBaller Readers.

Ron Vackar, creator of LEEG (League of Extraordinary "Expert" GMs), a fast growing fantasy baseball experts league, will be leading and organizing the RotoBaller.com Reader Leagues. Ron will be a participant in 1 league, and 4 of our other writers will join the other leagues to get us to a round total of 60 participants.

More about LEEGLEEG members feature writers and podcasters who contribute to the fantasy baseball industry. The 1st RotoBaller Reader League to fill up will feature a draft recap by writer Ron Vackar as well as quarterly written updates throughout the 2015 season and a spotlight write up of the Overall Winner.

The League Details

Host Sitewww.Fleaflicker.com

Draft Info:

  • Snake Draft (randomized draft order)
  • 12 Team, 5x5 Rotisserie Style (R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, ERA, WHIP, K, SV, W)
  • Roster Positions: C, C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, Mi, Ci, 5 OFs, U and 9 Pitchers with 7 Bench, No DL.
  • Weekly Format: Rosters Lock on Mondays
  • Waivers Run Daily Using a Free Agent Acquisition Budget System (FAAB)

  • Entry Fee: $50 Using SportsVault.com - Entry fees will be requested upon each league filling up. If entry fees are not received via SportsVault within 10 days of a league filling up, your spot in the league will be given to a different participant.

Prizes Within Each League: $300 to 1st Place, $150 to 2nd Place, $50 to 3rd Place

Prize for the Overall Winner: Up to an additional $250 for the overall winner (at a rate of $50 per league filled). Plus, the overall winner will be entered into 2016's League of Extraordinary Expert GMs (LEEG). LEEG is the newest "Experts" league in the industry, featuring experts from several different fantasy baseball sites. This is your chance to compete against many of the names you read and hear online content from every day.
