BALLER MOVE: Add in 2QB Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 6% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: This is absolutely crazy and something I never thought I would be doing this season, but here we are writing about Jared Goff as a good (?) WW target entering Week 14. It took our pal Goff 13 games to carry Detroit to its first W of the season, but he finally did it with a buzzer-beating TD last Sunday against Minny. And hey, it's been back-to-back top-18 finishes for a Goff that seems to be righting his wrongs from earlier this season. Trust the process, I guess.
Goff has alternated QB2 and QB3 finishes all season long with the exception of Week 1 (QB3 overall with 29.9 FP) and Week 13 (QB7 pending MNF with 20.9 FP). Other than that, he's played to an average of QB24 and around 11 FPPG. That's nothing to call home about, yes, but it's enough for those in 2QB or Superflex leagues hurting for help at the position or that bonus Flex-QB-open slot.
Jared Goff threw an interception last Sunday, yes, but he had three games without a single pick prior to that and is coming off back-to-back outings of throwing 2+ TDs including his latest three-score outcome against Minnesota. Again, don't get too crazy chasing Goff. He's what he is, and the Lions receiving corps are so thin that they are not expected to help Goff that much. Even then, though, Goff should be good for those QB2/top-24 finishes ROS so if you're really needy then he might do it for you in the deepest of formats.
