BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 52% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Top-4 quarterback of the 2022 season through Week 4. Flex on your haters, Jared Goff. You definitely didn't expect this to happen at any point through this season, let alone this early and considering Detroit has had to endure games without some of their no. 1 playmakers (D'Andre Swift, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and DJ Chark) or at least featuring them on a limited capacity.
Not that Goff has given a damn about that by the look of his outcomes. While Goff has been a bit bouncy (from QB17 to QB8, QB16, QB1) the truth is that he's yet to drop from scoring at least 14.9 FP in any single game this season.
Goff has been a near-lock to throw an interception every game (three over four matchups) but he's only fumbled once and those four negative plays come against 11 touchdowns already under his belt. Goff is, in fact, coming off his absolute-best game of the year and a QB1 week pending MNF.
The veteran quarterback, missing both Chark and St. Brown, found an extraordinary partner in TE T.J. Hockenson and a reliable teammate in WR Josh Reynolds last Sunday. All in all, Goff attempted 39 passes of which he completed 26 for a season-high 378 yards, four touchdowns (!), and one interception.
Sunday's performance by Goff was one of only eight in which the QB threw 4+ TDs, and Goff is now the only QB in possession of two such outings. The rostership at barely 50/50 tells you all you need to know as it hasn't stopped increasing on a weekly basis.
If you are streaming the position, or even if you drafted someone who is now putting up low-end-QB1/high-end-QB2 numbers you will probably do better adding Goff to the fold and starting him weekly going forward. He well deserves it.
