BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team PPR Leagues
ROSTERED: 53% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: While Jakobi Meyers might not be a WR1 in terms of fantasy performance, he--undoubtedly--is the Patriots WR1 these days. That doesn't mean he will always hit, much more considering New England has Cam Newton starting at quarterback. At least Meyers is getting a ton of reps, targets, and opportunities to score some fantasy points weekly.
It's been five games in a row in which it could be said that Meyers has been an active part of the Pats offense. He barely played through W3, but he was forced to step up given New England's receivers' injuries, leaving a door quite open for him to go through. Meyers had booming back-to-back fantasy performances in W9-10 scoring 28+ and 17+ PPR points, but he's gone back to earth in the last two games with tallies of just 6+ and 10+ points. That's Meyers' true-talent level (around 10 PPR points per game), and what you should expect ROS.
Meyers was targeted 7+ times in the three weeks spanning from W8 to W10, but he's been down to 3 and 6 in the last two games. Even with that, though, Meyers keeps being a talented pass catcher, having 35 receptions on 46 targets since Week 7. He has yet to score a touchdown, though, his only shortcoming this season.
The Pats had a rather scary schedule ROS facing the 6th- and absolute-best defenses next (Chargers and Rams), but then have a good matchup against Miami (17th) in W17. That being said, Meyers is one of the very few WR1 for their team still available in almost half of Yahoo leagues. If only because of his role and upside, you should target him if you're part of a deeper league, even more in PPR formats.
