Fantasy managers have had plenty of reason to celebrate if they took the chance on Saquon Barkley in their fantasy drafts this offseason. In six games this season, the veteran running back has amassed 119 carries for 616 yards and four touchdowns while adding 21 receptions for 155 yards. Those totals make Barkley the RB2 in total points and points per game to start the season.
However, fantasy gamers got a minor scare at the start of this practice week when Barkley was listed as limited with a shoulder injury. Given his injury history over the past two seasons, anything that lands him on that report could be seen as a red flag.
Is Saquon Barkley healthy or injured? Check out what to do with him in this week’s fantasy matchups below.

The honest answer is probably yes, Saquon Barkley is currently dealing with a shoulder injury. There is an adage amongst football players that at a certain point, everybody is playing injured. It just comes down to whether or not the player is injured enough to play through it or needs to rest and recover.
Based on all of the information coming out of the Giants’ interviews this week, it feels more like the former than the latter. Barkley will be suited up on Sunday and ready to take on his typical workload against the Jaguars this week.
The Giants have started the 2022 season as one of the more surprising teams in the NFL, but will now face a tough test against a Jaguars defense that has done well against running backs this season. However, a healthy Saquon Barkley has shown the ability to transcend matchups and should be played in all fantasy leagues regardless of scoring formats this week.
