New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas was the 47th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Thomas had a solid college career, totaling 113 receptions for 1,602 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns in three years at Ohio State.
The former Buckeye had an excellent rookie season, totaling 92 receptions on 121 targets for 1,137 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. He had an outstanding sophomore year, totaling 104 receptions on 149 targets for 1,245 receiving yards and five touchdowns in 2017.
Thomas had 125 receptions on 147 targets for 1,405 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in his third season. However, he had a historical performance in 2019, totaling 149 receptions on 185 targets for 1,725 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. Unfortunately, the wide receiver would only play 10 games over the next three years because of injuries.

Michael Thomas Injury Update For Fantasy Football
Many had low expectations for Thomas this season after dealing with multiple injuries over the past few years. However, the veteran hasn’t missed a game over the first 10 weeks. Unfortunately, he will likely miss time going forward.
The former Ohio State star suffered a knee injury in the Week 10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Head coach Dennis Allen said the injury is significant but not season-ending. New Orleans have their bye in Week 11, giving the veteran wide receiver two weeks to heal before the team’s next game.
Michael Thomas Fantasy Football Outlook
Hopefully, Thomas is healthy and ready to play in the Week 12 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. However, fantasy players should prepare as if he won’t play for a few weeks.
The veteran has played well this season. He is the WR49 for the year, averaging seven half-point PPR fantasy points per game. Thomas has 39 receptions on 64 targets for 448 receiving yards and a touchdown.
If the former Ohio State star misses time, Chris Olave will see an increase in targets. Furthermore, Rashid Shaheed and A.T. Perry will get more snaps opposite the second-year wide receiver.
Last week, Perry made his NFL debut. The former Wake Forest star had only four targets, catching two for 38 receiving yards and a touchdown, scoring 10.8 fantasy points against the Vikings.
