Jacksonville Jaguars star tight end Evan Engram (hamstring) finished as the overall TE2 in PPR fantasy football formats in 2023, hauling in 114 passes for 963 yards and four touchdowns. Engram provided huge games for fantasy managers, regularly hauling in seven or more catches per game, en route to league-winning numbers.
Engram didn't get off to a good start in 2024. There may be a league-wide curse on tight ends because he had just one catch for five yards in Week 1. To make matters worse, Engram was slated to start in Week 2, but dealt with a re-aggravation during pregame warmups in Week 2 and was held out of the game.

Evan Engram Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Engram is dealing with a hamstring injury, which should be alarming to his fantasy managers. Hamstring injuries are famously one of the more difficult injuries to shake off and have a high rate of recurrence. It's possible Engram thought the issue was minor enough to play with, but being hurt again in warmups is a bad sign.

Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson has been non-committal about an Engram return, indicating that his injury is week-to-week, as is the case with many hamstring injuries. This is a frustrating development, but Engram owners should be prepared for an extended absence.
