BALLER MOVE: Sit in All Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: K3
ANALYSIS: New York Jets kicker Greg Zuerlein has been one of the top kickers in the NFL over the past few years. Despite playing with an anemic offense, the veteran has been a solid fantasy kicker in 2023. He is the K10 for the season, averaging 8.7 fantasy points per game.
Zuerlein has been near perfect this year, making 30 of 31 field goal attempts and 13 of 14 extra-point tries. Unfortunately, the kicker has had up-and-down performances. He has scored 11 or more fantasy points in 42.9% of the games this season. However, Zuerlein has averaged only four fantasy points per game in the other eight contests.
The veteran has played well lately, scoring 14 or more fantasy points in two of the past three games. Zuerlein has been dealing with a quad injury. Thankfully, he will play tonight despite barely practicing.
Unfortunately, the kicker has an awful fantasy matchup in Week 17. The Cleveland Browns have held kickers to 5.3 fantasy points per game, the fewest in the NFL. They’ve surrendered only 11 fantasy points to kickers over their past three weeks.
Fantasy players should find a more appealing streaming option off the waiver wire. Zuerlein is too inconsistent to trust during the fantasy championship matchup.
