Happy (almost) New Year, RotoBallers! Another day, another dollar in the NBA and we have a solid six-game slate worth of NBA action throughout the entire day. We have some fun matchups tonight with some surprising storylines to monitor.
We have ourselves a handful of teams coming into tonight's slate on a back-to-back, as the Sixers, Raptors, and Knicks will all take the floor tonight after playing on Friday night.
In this article, I'll be providing my favorite picks against the spread, game totals, parlays, and teasers for the first full NBA slate of the season that tips off at 5:00 PM EST on Saturday, December 30.

NBA Betting Picks: Totals
New York Knicks (+3.5) @ Indiana Pacers (245.5 total)
I'll start things off in Indiana as the Knicks come into town following their 117-108 loss to the Magic in Orlando last evening.
Both teams are in pretty good scoring spots. Starting with the Knicks, who get a positive boost in both pace (+3.34) and offensive efficiency (+5.79). This is a significant boost for New York, who comes into this one ranked 11th in offensive efficiency to this point in the season (114.3). The Pacers also get a small boost in offensive efficiency, going from their second-ranked 118.7 up to 119.79 (+1.07). They project a small dip in pace, down to 103.44 (-0.96). However, with New York being on the road back-to-back, I can see this one moving up and down pretty quickly. For that reason, I'll grab the game over here.

NBA Betting Picks: ML and Spreads
Toronto Raptors (-4.5) @ Detroit Pistons (230.5 total)
I'll head out to Detroit for my second play of the day. Following their overtime loss in Boston on Thursday night, the Pistons tied the Sixers' record for most consecutive losses with 28. I'll be backing them to move to 29 today as the Raptors come to town.
Let's break the losing streak down a little bit. Detroit has covered in each of the last two games, but before that, they covered just 7/26 times on the streak. They see a very small regression number in terms of offensive efficiency (-0.01), but it'll be tough to make up against Toronto's offense, who gets a solid boost from their 19th-ranked figure on the season. They'll go from 111.2 to 115.59. This is a small number to make up due to Toronto's battle with the Celtics on Friday night, and while I think the streak will eventually come to an end, I don't think it will be tonight.
