MLB Pitcher Prop Bets - Today's Picks
Shane Bieber OVER 5.5 strikeouts (-145 Caesars Sportsbook)
Let's knock the door down with Bieber today as he has a number set even lower than the 6.5 in his last start. Now, he has been built up a bit after throwing 72 pitches and striking out four Royals across 4 2/3 innings pitched in his last start. Now, he will be facing the Reds who are currently posting the highest K rate in baseball against right-handed pitchers with a rate of 31.9%. The Reds are also posting the worst wRC+ against righties with a mark of just 44.
Patrick Sandoval OVER 5.5 strikeouts (-135 Draftkings Sportsbook)
Sandoval has thrown nine strikeouts while also having tossed 7 2/3 innings this spring. He is fresh of a 4 2/3 inning outing in his most recent spring start and should be able to get deep enough in this game. In 2021, Sandoval struck out 94 batters across 87 IP, so he definitely has strong strikeout upside. He will be facing the Marlins tonight who are currently posting the worst K rate in baseball against left-handed pitchers with a rate of 42.5%.
Jesus Luzardo UNDER 5.5 strikeouts (-155 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Luzardo is a bit warm as he has thrown 11 2/3 innings this spring, but he has yet to sniff six strikeouts in any of those appearances. He will be facing an Angels team that is notoriously strong against left-handed pitching, which makes this task even more difficult. He also reached this total in just three of his last nine games in 2021.
MLB Hitter Prop Bets - Today's Picks
Bobby Dalbec over 1.5 total bases (+135 Caesars Sportsbook)
You could also play this safe and just select Dalbec to go over .5 hits, which is posted at -195, but let's go for the gusto here. Dalbec will be facing Tyler Alexander who posted a 5.23 FIP against right-handed hitters in 2021 across 60 1/3 innings pitched. Dalbec absolutely crushed left-handed pitching to the tune of a .885 OPS and a .546 SLG. Once Alexander is done, the Tigers will deploy their bullpen, which ranked third-worst in terms of WHIP in 2021.
Jesse Winker OVER 1.5 total bases (+135 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Winker has not started to season very well as he has eclipsed this total in just one game thus far, but the matchup could be ripe in this one. He will be facing Vincent Velasquez who posted a 5.22 FIP against left-handed hitters in 2021. Winker obliterated right-handed pitchers to the tune of a 1.057 OPS with 21 home runs in 2021. He should be able to get the best of Velasquez in this one.
