Daily Fantasy Golf DraftKings Picks (PGA DFS): Farmers Insurance Open

Welcome back RotoBallers. In this column, I will be providing you with my Farmers Insurance Open PGA DFS lineup picks for DraftKings. My goal as always is to help put together your optimal daily fantasy golf lineups.

The 29-year-old Hudson Swafford shot a third- round 59 en route to winning the CareerBuilder Challenge, his first win on PGA Tour. Swafford finished 20- under, a stroke ahead of Adam Hadwin and two ahead of Brian Harman and Bud Cauley. Swafford also punches a ticket to The Masters in April. Perhaps this will be Swafford's career builder.

As for the European Tour, the 102nd world ranked Englishman, Tommy Fleetwood won the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, edging out Dustin Johnson and Pablo Larrazabal by a stroke. Fleetwood had improved his finishing position the last five tournaments, as you can see below. Look out for Fleetwood come major time.

Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship 22/01/2017 1 € 421,139 67 67 70 67 271 -17
UBS Hong Kong Open 11/12/2016 T3 € 105,341 66 68 67 68 269 -11
DP WORLD TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP, DUBAI 20/11/2016 T9 € 147,839 70 71 67 68 276 -12
Nedbank Golf Challenge hosted by Gary Player 13/11/2016 T14 € 91,042 75 72 71 69 287 -1
TURKISH AIRLINES OPEN 06/11/2016 T22 € 72,420 71 71 67 68 277 -7
Portugal Masters 23/10/2016 T37 € 13,000 67 68 68 69 272 -12

My Picks Last Week

Phil Mickelson $10,800: 11-under, T-21

Bill Haas $10,500: 12- under, T-17

Francesco Molinari $10,300: 13-under, T-12

Webb Simpson $8,200: 5- under T-66

Brian Harman $7,600: 18- under, T-3

David Lingmerth $7,300: 9- under, T-34

Ollie Schniederjans $6,900: 6- under, T-58

Jason Bohn $6,300: CUT

The Farmers Insurance Open will be played at beautiful Torrey Pines in San Diego, CA. Brandt Snedeker is the defending champion. There are some big names in this tournament; Jason Day, Hideki Matsuyama, Dustin Johnson, Justin Rose, Phil Mickelson, Rickie Fowler, and, of course, Tiger Woods!

Fantasy Golf Lineup Picks for DraftKings (PGA DFS)

Build a lineup with one or two of the following:

Jason Day ($11,400)

This will be Day's first start since his back injury in 2016. Day won this tournament in 2015, but missed the cut last year. Day also finished runner-up in 2014, and T-9 in 2015. People may avoid Day due to his injury, but don't let that stop you.

Justin Rose ($10,200)

Rose has missed the cut at this tournament the past two years, but with a runner-up finish at the Sony Open two weeks ago, and a week off, I like Rose to finally play well at this tournament.

Brandt Snedeker ($9,500)

It feels like I'm getting Sneds at a discount. He's won this tournament twice– the conditions last year were awful– and has six top 10 finishes. Of those top 10s, three were in the top- five. He was cut at the Sony Open and I love how he took a week off in preparation for this tournament.

Middle Cost Players - Farmers Insurance Open PGA DFS Picks

Tiger Woods ($7,900)

This will be Tiger's first official PGA Tour start since his return. He may be one of the highest owned players this week, but it won't stop me. Tiger loves Torrey Pines, he won seven Farmers Insurance Tournaments and a U.S. Open. He last played in the Hero World Challenge and led the small field in birdies. With no football this week, let's all hope Tiger is in the hunt on Sunday.

Jhonattan Vegas ($7,500)

He's played solid in his first two tournaments, T-30 at SBS Tournament of Champions and T-34 at the CareerBuilder. He's finished T-18 and T-11 in the past two Farmers Insurance Open's.

Danny Lee ($7,100)

At the Famers Insurance last week, Lee shot a 67 on Thursday and a 64 on Friday before blowing up with a 76 and final round 73. He ended up finishing 8- under, T-41.

Low Cost Players - Farmers Insurance Open PGA DFS Picks

Ollie Schniederjans ($6,300)

He put up 63 fantasy points last week with a salary of $6,900, yet now his salary has decreased by $600! He is a must play at this cheap a price.

Beau Hossler ($6,100)

I'll take this pick from ESPN's Jason Rouslin, "The Texas product is no stranger to PGA tour events as he has played in two U.S. Opens at the age of 16 and 17. This will be his first start as a professional, so let's see if he can get off to a running start!"
