Top 25 Fantasy Baseball Prospects to Stash (Redraft): Eric Cross' Rookie Rankings for Week 6

Bryce Eldridge - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Eric Cross' top 25 fantasy baseball prospects to stash in redraft for Week 6 (2026). His updated MLB rookie rankings for prospect call-ups to make 2026 impacts.

Last week, we were treated to three notable prospect promotions. Not only did Trey Yesavage get recalled from his rehab assignment, but we also saw the major league debuts for Elmer Rodriguez and Travis Bazzana.

Fast forward to this week, and we already have two promotions in the works. Bryce Eldridge is getting the call for the Giants, and Joe Mack will make his major league debut for the Marlins. You can read about my thoughts on each in the notes below the rankings table.

These prospect rankings are for 2026 redraft value only. These are MLB prospects who could potentially make a fantasy baseball impact in 2026 redraft leagues. You can also see our top fantasy baseball dynasty prospects rankings for longer-term outlooks and our 2026 fantasy baseball rankings dashboard for all other league formats.

Fantasy Baseball Prospect Rankings Analysis

Bryce Eldridge, San Francisco Giants

After getting his feet wet with a cup of coffee last September, Bryce Eldridge is finally getting recalled to the majors this week. The Giants' offense is struggling mightily this season, so I'm expecting Eldridge to play regularly between first base and DH, rotating between the two spots with Rafael Devers.

Eldridge has been one of the top power-hitting prospects in the game ever since he debuted back in 2018, cranking a combined 48 doubles and 48 home runs in 218 games over the last two seasons. And in Triple-A so far this season, Eldridge was slashing .333/.445/.518 with six doubles and five home runs in 30 games. His quality of contact metrics was even more impressive with a 93.1 mph AVG EV, 60.3% hard-hit rate, and a 17.8% barrel rate.

Don't let the high batting average fool you, though, as there are some notable contact and strikeout concerns here. Even with the high average, Eldridge has struck out in 29.9% of his 137 plate appearances this season while running a 66.1% overall contact rate. However, his 80.5% zone contact rate isn't bad.

Even if the average is more in the .240-.250 range, Eldridge could smack over 20 home runs the rest of the way, and should be an annual threat to eclipse 30 homers annually moving forward.

Joe Mack, Miami Marlins

Another prospect getting the call this week is Miami's top catching prospect, Joe Mack. And in a surprising correlating move, the Marlins are optioning Agustin Ramirez down to Triple-A. While Mack ranks highly in real-life prospect rankings due to his impressive defensive skills behind the plate, his outlook for fantasy leagues isn't nearly as exciting.

In 24 games this season, Mack is slashing .244/.388/.378 with three home runs and an impressive 20 walks to only 22 strikeouts. The OBP looks great, and it's encouraging to see him walk more than last season, but I'm simply not high on Mack's bat. There's decent raw power in the profile, including a 90.4 mph AVG EV and 43.3% hard-hit rate, but Mack is running a 79.5% zone contact rate and an 80.7% overall contact rate this season.

Mack is only worth targeting in two-catcher formats, and can be left on the wire in any single-catcher league of 15 teams or less.

Spencer Jones, New York Yankees

Alright, it's time for another Spencer Jones update. The large and polarizing outfield prospect is now up to 10 home runs in 31 games this season with a .261/.366/.586 slash line. He's also walking at a 12.2% clip and swatted five dingers in his last six games, including a two-homer game on Sunday. Overall, Jones is running an impressive 95.3 mph AVG EV, 56.5% hard-hit rate, and a 29% barrel rate this season.

However, the contact rates are still downright terrible, currently sitting at 56.5% overall and 65.5% in zone. Jones is also striking out at a 32.8% clip. Those metrics simply won't get it done at the major league level. With Giancarlo Stanton on the IL, Jasson Dominguez got recalled, but it wouldn't surprise me if the Yankees gave Jones a shot in the near future.

This is a guy who could have some massive offensive weeks, along with some notable stinkers. Invest at your own risk.

Henry Bolte, Athletics

A new addition to my top-25 prospects to stash rankings this week is Athletics' outfield prospect, Henry Bolte. In his first 31 games for Triple-A Las Vegas this season, Bolte has racked up 12 extra-base hits, seven home runs, and 13 steals with a .305/.385/.519 slash line. This comes after a 14/32 season in 2023, a 15/46 season in 2024, and a 9/44 season in 2025.

Bolte is more of an average to slightly above average power bat who has an 89.8 mph AVG EV and 39.8% hard-hit rate this season, but he can make a sizeable impact with his legs. Bolte is a plus or better runner who has shown the willingness to run early and often throughout his entire minor league career. He's also making a bit more contact this season, but still has a below average 77.4% zone and 70.4% overall contact rate.

Bolte is a boom or bust upside flier stash with a mid-season ETA.

Kevin Alcantara, Chicago Cubs

The calendar has flipped to May, but Kevin Alcantara hasn't slowed down in the power department. The 23-year-old outfielder is currently on an eight-game hitting streak and has left the year in four of his last five games. For the season, Alcantara is now up to a whopping 12 home runs in 28 games with a .250/.336/.639 slash line. He's also walking at a solid 10.7% clip. With each passing home run, the loudness of those clamoring for his call-up intensifies.

With that said, I'm not sure if Alcantara is going to be up soon. For starters, the Cubs outfield and DH spots are currently occupied by Ian Happ (LF), Pete Crow-Armstrong (RF), Seiya Suzuki (RF), and Moises Ballesteros (DH). All of whom are either hitting well or providing elite defense. Alcantara is likely the next man up when the Cubs need an outfielder, but it will probably take an IL stint for one of the four aforementioned names for that to happen.
