FanDuel NBA DFS Lineups (2/1/21): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Giannis Antetokounmpo - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineups

Juan Carlos Blanco highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 2/1/21, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

Monday night brings us a robust 10-game slate, which gives us an abundance of options to work with when it comes to differentiation for tournaments. There are certainly some big names sporting injury designations, but many are encouragingly listed as questionable or probable, meaning there will likely be a solid amount of elite players to choose from.

Just as important is the fact oddsmakers are predicting plenty of competitive games, which is always better for us as DFS players in terms of keeping the key players involved from buzzer to buzzer. In total, eight of the 10 games on the ledger have point spreads of six points or fewer at multiple sportsbooks.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 2/1/21. I’ll be providing multiple player suggestions for players at guard, forward and center on FanDuel, aiming to highlight one option apiece at the high, middle and lower end of the salary scale. You can also check out DraftKings lineup picks and injury news before lineups lock. Good luck, RotoBallers.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Damian Lillard, PG – at MIL ($10,000)

Lillard’s season FD-point average is up to 46.3 after he racked up 62.5 FD points against the Bulls over 36 minutes in a wild win Saturday night. Lillard also has two other tallies of more than 50 FD points in his last six, and he’s averaging an outstanding 34.0 points, 8.3 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 1.0 steal across 38.1 minutes over his last eight contests. The opposing Bucks have also given up their share of fantasy production to point guards, ranking in the bottom half of the league with 24.9 points per game allowed to ones and also surrendering 40.8 percent shooting from three-point range to PGs.

Victor Oladipo, SG – at OKC ($8,200)

Oladipo gets a crack at one of his old squads in the Thunder, a team that’s ranked in the bottom half of the league with 23.1 percent offensive efficiency surrendered to shooting guards. Oladipo come into Monday’s contest having scored 39.7 to 50.5 FD points in four of his first six games in a Rockets uniform, and he’s managed those impressive totals despite not yet having hit his stride shooting-wise. However, the veteran wing has remained heavily involved, averaging 19.8 shot attempts per game and boasting a 30.7 percent usage rate since joining Houston.

Eric Bledsoe, SG – vs. SAC ($5,600)

Bledsoe hasn’t quite been himself in most games this season, but there are increasingly signs he’s starting to come around. The veteran has eclipsed 30 FD points in three of the last seven games, and he’s averaging a solid 17.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists while shooting 42.6 percent from three-point range over that span. Bledsoe’s sub-$6K salary is still reflective of the volatility in his production, but Monday, he could be primed for another one of his upswings. The Kings check in giving up NBA-high 48.8 percent shooting, including 39.8 percent from behind the arc. Sacramento is also ranked dead last with 30.6 percent offensive efficiency allowed to SGs, furthering Bledsoe’s case at his very reasonable salary.

Also consider: Luka Doncic ($10,700); Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($8,300); De'Aaron Fox ($8,200); Jrue Holiday ($7,500); John Wall ($7,200); DeMar DeRozan ($7,100)

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Giannis Antetokounmpo, PF – vs. POR ($11,600)

Antetokounmpo is sporting a probable designation due to a sore knee, but it’s not expected to cost him Monday’s contest or even put him on any type of minutes restriction. The Greek Freak comes into Monday’s game in the midst of another one of his torrid stretches, as he’s eclipsed 60 FD points in three straight and four times over the last six contests overall. That type of production justifies his sky-high salary, especially against a Trail Blazers squad that’s allowing 47.3 percent shooting overall, along with the seventh-highest offensive efficiency (80.8) to frontcourt players.

Bam Adebayo - vs. CHA ($9,100)

Adebayo encouragingly scored 43.6 FD points over 35 minutes against the Kings on Saturday despite Jimmy Butler being back in the lineup and sliding right back into a major role. The big man now has over 40 FD points in four of the last five games, and he’ll draw an excellent matchup with which to continue churning out impressive production. The Hornets come in allowing the third-highest offensive efficiency (86.1 percent) to frontcourt players, along with the fourth-highest shooting percentage (49.4) to power forwards, while Adebayo is shooting a career-high 58.2 percent overall.

Harrison Barnes, SF – at NOP ($6,100)

Much like Bledsoe, Barnes is another veteran whose production has seen its occasional swings this season. Most recently, the veteran wing has three games with 11 points or fewer over the last six, but he’s scored 21 or 26 in the three other contest during that span. However, Barnes is shooting a career-high 50.0 percent, including 42.1 percent from deep, and he’s just a tenth of a fantasy point away from having delivered at least 5x his salary in nine of 19 games. The Pelicans could be just the team to draw one of his better performances out of him, as New Orleans is allowing the sixth-highest offensive efficiency rating (25.1 percent) to small forwards.

Also consider: LeBron James ($10,400); Anthony Davis ($10,300); Christian Wood ($8,900); Jimmy Butler ($8,700); Zion Williamson ($8,300); Brandon Ingram ($8,000)

FanDuel DFS Centers

Nikola Jokic – vs. DET ($10,900)

Jokic will undoubtedly be very popular Monday, as even his $10.9K salary seems like a bargain when considering he’s coming off having posted 74.9 FD points in a supposedly tough matchup against the Jazz on Sunday. That tally qualified as Jokic’s ninth of at least 60 this season, including his third of at least 70. The big man has established new career highs in nearly every major category, and his matchup against the Pistons on Monday could hardly be more appealing. Detroit has already given up a 27-point, 26-rebound double-double to Clint Capela this season, and the Pistons come in giving up the most rebounds (17.3), second-most blocks (3.2) and eighth-highest offensive efficiency (33.7 percent) to centers.

Andre Drummond – vs. MIN ($8,800)

Drummond has done a pretty fair Jokic impression on a few occasions this season, as the veteran big has scored over 60 FD points on four occasions and also has a pair of 59.3 tallies. Drummond has had a handful of down performances since Jarrett Allen came over in the Harden trade with the Nets, and he’s averaging a modest 25.2 minutes over his last six contests overall. However, he may not even need 30 minutes to offer a strong return against the Timberwolves, which are allowing the second-highest offensive efficiency (36.8 percent) to centers, along with the third-highest shooting percentage (56.7), eighth-most rebounds (15.5), most assists (5.0) and fifth-most blocks (2.6) per game to the position.

Al Horford – vs. HOU ($6,300)

Horford has returned from a six-game paternity leave ready to roll, as he’s amassed 49.2 and 38.2 FD points, respectively, in his first two games back despite playing under 30 minutes in each contest. The floor-stretching big man has scored 25.0 FD points or more in nine of 11 games overall, and he’s taking a solid 11.4 shot attempts per contest, including a career-high 5.5 from three-point range. The Rockets have been a solid defensive squad, but Horford’s consistency this season makes him one of the most viable mid-sized options at center Monday.

Also consider: Clint Capela ($8,800); Deandre Ayton ($8,300); Enes Kanter ($7,000); Mason Plumlee ($5,100); Willie Cauley-Stein ($4,400)
