FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (6/2/16): MLB DFS Advice

Kevin Luchansky highlights the top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for 6/2/16. These are the top value and sleeper plays for your FanDuel MLB DFS lineups.

We've got 11 games on the docket Thursday, which is quite a healthy number for a get-away-day. There are three afternoon games and eight in the evening. FanDuel has broken these 11 games into four contest categories - All Day (11), Early Only (3), Afternoon Only (2) and Main (8). Though two of the three haven't been their normal elite selves, we've got three pitchers headlining - Madison Bumgarner, Zack Greinke, and Dallas Keuchel - followed by a large number of guys we can look to target against.

In terms of Vegas insights, the games with the highest projected over/unders are the Reds at Rockies (12), followed by the Red Sox at Orioles (9.5) and the Yankees at Tigers (9). The heaviest moneyline favorites of the day are the Giants (-245), the Rockies (-178) and the Indians at Astros both with (-154).

In terms of positive park factors for hitters, we have the Red and Rockies playing in Coors, followed by the left-handed hitters of the Red Sox and Orioles in Baltimore and the left-handed batters of the Phillies and Brewers in Milwaukee. After that, it's a pretty steep drop-off.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for FanDuel on 6/2/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on FanDuel.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target for FanDuel

If you play multiple lineups, do yourself a favor and produce a Rockies stack or three against Alfredo Simon. Since you're smart enough to know that already, take a look at these other two stacks that could fly under the radar.

Phillies versus Chase Anderson

The Phillies could go overlooked today but they have a solid opportunity to do some damage against Chase Anderson. Anderson has allowed 1.37 HR/9 this season and right-handed batters especially have had their ways with him. For the season, right-handed batters own a .401 wOBA, .609 slugging percentage against Anderson while he's allowed 2.7 HR/9 at home.

Tigers versus Michael Pineda

The days of Pineda being a promising "young" pitcher are long, long gone. He has struggled mightily this season and I think due to the fact this game isn't played in a typical hitters park that the Tigers stack will fly under the radar. The Tigers are loaded with right-handed power hitters and Pineda has struggled to retire that side, allowing a .391 wOBA and .573 slugging percentage this season. His HR/FB ratio of over 20% is also very enticing.

Also Consider: Left-handed Marlins batters versus Juan Nicasio

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

Madison Bumgarner (SP, SFG) - $12,000

The only slight downside I can think of in rostering MadBum is that Atlanta isn't as pitcher friendly as San Francisco is. Outside of that, this is a great matchup and, honestly, a fair price to pay. I thought we'd see a much higher number today considering how paltry the Braves offense is. For the season, Bumgarner is averaging 10.58 K/9, 0.78 HR/9 and has kept the hits and walks to a minimum.

Jerad Eickhoff (SP, PHI) - $7,000

Eickhoff is a bit risky but he makes for a fine, upside tournament play tonight. He's averaging over eight strikeouts per nine frames and faces a Brewers team that has one of the highest strikeout rates in the league. If you want to load your lineup with big hitters - especially those at Coors - Eickhoff provides that salary relief with upside.

Also Consider: Dallas Keuchel (SP, HOU) - $7,700

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Catcher (C)

Dustin Garneau (C, COL) - $2,800

For a catcher who hits right-handers much harder than he does left and happens to be facing the atrocious Alfredo Simon at Coors Field, this is an unbelievable bargain. He still comes with some risk as his numbers aren't awe-inspiring, but his ISO facing right-handers is more than 100 points greater than when he faces southpaws.

Also Consider: Blake Swihart (C, BOS) - $2,600

First Base (1B)

David Ortiz (1B, BOS) - $4,500

IF you're playing the night slate, you're likely to have the cash to be able to afford Ortiz thanks to the subpar pitching options - and you shouldn't hesitate in rostering him. He's got solid park factors, faces a struggling Ubaldo Jimenez and owns a .447 wOBA and .373 ISO against right-handed pitching this season.

Also Consider: Joey Votto (1B, CIN) - $4,100

Second Base (2B)

Joe Panik (2B, SFG) - $3,200

Like is the case with Garneau, when you consider all of the numbers and factors tonight, Panik at this price is a real steal. The lefty hits for nearly 100 points higher in wOBA and ISO when facing right-handed pitching, he gets a slight park upgrade, and opposing pitcher Aaron Blair has allowed a .408 wOBA to left-handed batters this season.

Daniel Descalso (2B, COL) - $3,000

Shortstop (SS)

Trevor Story (SS, COL) - $3,800

I'm shocked at how little the Coors guys prices seem today, given their offensive explosion over the last few days and, perhaps most importantly, they're facing one of the weakest starting pitchers in the game in Simon. Story has solid righty-righty splits in the wOBA department at .368 and a very impressive ISO power of .310.

Also Consider: Manny Machado (SS, BAL) - $4,200

Third Base (3B)

Alex Rodriguez (3B, NYY) - $2,900

While A-Rod hasn't been that productive of late, he's still averaging a home run per every 12.9 at-bats. Tonight he's away from the comforts of Yankee Stadium, but there's a chance he goes overlooked and I'm happy to roster him at this price when facing a young southpaw in Matt Boyd with a career ERA of more than six.

Also Consider: Kris Bryant (3B, CHC) - $3,700

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Carlos Gonzalez (OF, COL) - $4,300

CarGo has been torching right-handed pitching and tonight he has an unbelievable matchup with Simon, who has allowed over a .600 slugging percentage to left-handed batters this season. Gonzalez's numbers against righties are uber-impressive with his .427 wOBA and .327 ISO.

Odubel Herrera (OF, PHI) - $3,500

Herrera doesn't have big power numbers but his splits are much stronger when facing right-handers and he moves into a solid power park today in Milwaukee while facing Chase Anderson. Anderson has allowed 1.37 HR/9 this season while Herrera has posted an impressive .388 wOBA split.

Gerrardo Parra (OF, COL) - $3,600

Going to continue the theme of left-handed Rockies bats - not just because of the Coors factor - but also the Alfredo Simon factor. Parra is very reasonably priced and should get plenty of RBI opportunities.
