DraftKings Lineup Picks & Sleepers (5/23/17): MLB DFS Advice

As is the case most weeks, we have a huge Tuesday slate. There are 15 games, which leaves us with multiple stacking options to go along with plenty of pitching options. Surprisingly, there aren't many value pitching options, but there are plenty of value bats to take advantage of.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 5/23/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on DraftKings.

You can read our FanDuel and Yahoo DFS lineup picks as well. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @BalesSJustin.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Arizona Diamondbacks vs Dylan Covey

The Diamondbacks will likely be the highest owned stack of the night, and for good reason. They are an elite offense at home, where they have an OPS of nearly .900. They have also been on fire, as their OPS over the last week has exceeded .900. They get an elite matchup against Covey, who enters this game with a 7.64 ERA and a 2.8 HR/9 through seven starts. Arizona is a -196 favorite in a game set at 10.5 runs, and they're an elite stacking option in all leagues.

Houston Astros vs Jordan Zimmermann

The Astros make a high upside stacking option, as they come with plenty of power and speed. They get a great matchup against Zimmermann tonight, and he has struggled this season with a 6.25 ERA, 1.61 WHIP, and 2.2 HR/9 through eight starts. The Astros are currently -203 favorites in a game set at 8.5 runs, and they have as much upside as any stack on this slate.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Clayton Kershaw - vs STL ($13,400)

Kershaw has looked good this season, but his numbers are a bit skewed by two starts in Colorado. If those starts were to be removed from his numbers, he'd have an elite 1.63 ERA this season. He also has an 8.9 K/9 this season, and that will likely continue to rise as the season progresses. He's a huge -256 favorite in a game set at only 6.5 runs. He isn't going to come cheap, but he's an elite option tonight.

Lance McCullers Jr. - vs DET ($10,200)

McCullers has had his ups and downs this season, but he has been an elite option at home. Through four starts in Houston, McCullers has a 2-0 record with a 2.08 ERA and a 12.1 K/9. He gets a good matchup against the Tigers, who have struggled away from home this season. Houston enters the game as a -203 favorite in a game set at 8.5 runs, and McCullers is a great alternative to Kershaw tonight.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

Yan Gomes - at CIN ($3,700)

Gomes has been a significantly better hitter on the road this season, as he's hitting well over .300 away from home. He has also been playing well recently, as he's sporting a 1.120 OPS over his last 10 games. He hits left-handed pitching extremely well, and he gets a great matchup against Amir Garrett in a hitter friendly stadium.

First Base (1B)

Cody Bellinger - vs STL ($4,400)

Bellinger has displayed great potential this season, as he's hitting nearly .300 with tremendous power in limited games. He's playing a huge role in the Dodgers offense, and he has been a consistent player with tremendous upside this season. He gets a good matchup against Lance Lynn, and Bellinger can be used in all leagues.

Second Base (2B)

Brandon Drury - vs CWS ($3,800)

Drury has looked good recently, but most importantly, he'll be playing in Arizona tonight. He's hitting nearly .400 at home this season, and 14 of his 17 extra-base hits have come at home, as well. He gets an elite matchup against Dylan Covey, and Drury can be used in all leagues.

Shortstop (SS)

Dansby Swanson - vs PIT ($3,600)

Swanson got off to a slow start this season, but he's hitting well over .300 over his last 10 games. He has also displayed decent power over that span, as well. He gets a good matchup against Tyler Glasnow, and Swanson is still cheap enough to be used in all leagues.

Third Base (3B)

Jake Lamb - vs CWS ($5,500)

Lamb is extremely expensive tonight, but he has been on fire recently. He's hitting over .350 with tremendous power over his last 10 games. He gets an elite matchup against Dylan Covey, and Lamb is a top option on this slate.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Corey Dickerson - vs LAA ($4,700)

Dickerson has caught fire recently, as he's hitting over .400 with tremendous power over his last 10 games. He has found success at home and on the road this season, and he gets a good matchup against Matt Shoemaker tonight. Dickerson is one of the hottest players in the MLB right now, and he can safely be used in all leagues on this slate.

Max Kepler - at BAL ($4,000)

Kepler is another player that has been heating up over his last 10 games. Over that span, he's hitting around .300 with good power. He's a player that also comes with good speed. He gets a good matchup against Dylan Bundy in a hitter friendly stadium, and Kepler makes a great option in all leagues.
