DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (6/6/21): NBA DFS Lineups

luka doncic NBA dfs lineup picks daily fantasy basketball advice

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on June 6, 2021. Mike Marteny provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

We have a small two-gamer on the docket tonight with Game 1 of the other Eastern Conference semis kicking off between Atlanta and Philly and a Game 7 out west between the Clippers and Dallas. Who here is surprised that was the only series in the first round to go seven games? Anyone? I didn't think so. This is what we've been expecting out of those two teams.

Once again, Luka is listed as questionable. Once again, he will play and be a critical piece of the game. Joel Embiid is questionable and looks less likely to play. Even if he does play, it seems likely he will have some sort of minutes limit since he didn't participate in the live action parts of practice yesterday. He's a fade for me at that price no matter what. De'Andre Hunter and Maxi Kleber are likely to play. Serge Ibaka is likely joining Cam Reddish in street clothes.

This article will supply you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for the DraftKings on 6/6/21. You can also check out today’s FanDuel lineup picks. It’s also important to monitor injury news as a result of COVID-19 as the slate can completely change before line-up lock. Without further ado, let’s dive into the picks!

DraftKings DFS Guards

Paul George - SG, vs. Dallas ($9,000)

George drew a lot of criticism in last year's playoffs, but he has been an integral part of the Clippers pushing this series to seven games. He has three games over 50 DraftKings points, including each of the last two. His floor is around 35, which is going to land you in the bottom half of tournaments, but the upside for this price is enough to give him a look. George played all but two minutes in Game 6. I think he's a huge piece of Game 7 as well.

Ben Simmons - PG, vs. Atlanta($8,300)

Simmons played in two games against the Hawks this year and wasn't all that effective for DFS purposes. He was very effective in limiting Trae Young though. I'm operating as though Embiid is out or severely limited. Simmons started at center in Game 5 against Washington in a very unorthodox lineup, but it worked. Philly won by 17 and Simmons picked up 56.5 DraftKings points. I doubt they line him up against Capela, but stranger things have happened. If Embiid is out, Simmons is priced right to throw a dart with.

Reggie Jackson - PG/SG, vs. Dallas ($5,400)

Sure, Paul George and Kawhi were big in Game 6, but I would argue that Jackson's seizure of the point guard position was every bit as important. Jackson played 38 minutes while racking up 43.75 DraftKings points. He fell one rebound shy of a double-double and was the legitimate third piece that the Clippers have been looking for. Cool trick, bro. Do it again. If he does, Dallas is heading home. They had a lot of problems with having to worry about what Reggie was doing as well. He has the potential to break this slate at this price.

Bonus Guards: Trae Young ($9,200), Bogdan Bogdanovic ($6,900), Seth Curry ($5,100), Tyrese Maxey ($3,900)

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Luka Doncic - PG/SF, at Clippers ($11,100)

Dallas needs a miracle out of Luka once again after they got Kawhi'ed in Game 6 after leading much of the game. Again, Luka was huge for Dallas, racking up 64.5 DraftKings points in 41 minutes. Pay no mind to that injury designation. The neck may not be quite 100 percent, but there is no way he's missing this game. Win or lose, this is going to be another huge game for Luka. No one on this slate comes anywhere close to his ceiling.

Kawhi Leonard - SF, vs. Dallas ($9,900)

Kawhi was on fire from the floor and hit a couple of daggers in Game 6. This is what people were waiting to see. 45 actual points and 61.5 DraftKings points. That was his third game over 35 points in the series. If the Clippers do manage to lose this, don't blame Kawhi. You can't really blame Paul George either, even though he was the favorite whipping boy last year. The Clippers struggled a little going two-on-one with PG13 and Kawhi against Luka. If Reggie Jackson makes it three-on-one again, That will be the difference. The only thing I know for sure is that Kawhi is the lock of all locks in cash games.

Dorian Finney-Smith - SF/PF, at Clippers ($5,000)

DFS is the defensive specialist for Dallas, but he has been quite effective for DFS purposes in the last couple of games. He has 58.75 DraftKings points in 82 minutes. On a per-minute basis, that's not very good. However, I'm looking at production in this price range. I pay attention when a value play is playing more than 40 minutes per game. These last two games are pretty close to his ceiling, but they aren't so far from the normal predicted output that they can't be repeated. DFS is a solid play at a weak position today.

Bonus Forwards: Tobias Harris ($8,500), Tim Hardaway Jr. ($6,400), Nicolas Batum ($4,800), Danilo Gallinari ($4,100)

DraftKings DFS Centers

Clint Capela - C, at Philadelphia ($7,700)

The Knicks did a solid job on Capela, which depresses his price coming into this series. Honestly, Capela wasn't all that effective against Embiid, but I love this price if Embiid plays anything under 25 minutes. It's one thing to run Ben Simmons at Robin Lopez and Daniel Gafford. It's quite another to try him against a guy like Capela. As much as Philly may not want to, they are going to have to counteract Capela with D12 or Mike Scott. Neither one can guard Capela and I expect Simmons to limit Trae again. That should mean a big game for Capela.

Dwight Howard - C, vs. Atlanta ($4,500)

This price is flat out ridiculous. Howard put up 30.5 DraftKings points in just 16 minutes with Embiid out in Game 5 against Washington. Howard is one of the best per-minute guys around. He doesn't play enough minutes to break a slate, but he does have the potential for around 7x value with a decent floor. I'll take that on a slate with little for value.

Bonus Centers: Kristaps Porzingis ($6,700), Boban Marjanovic ($3,700)
