DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (3/15/21): NBA DFS Lineups

luka doncic NBA dfs lineup picks daily fantasy basketball advice

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on March 15, 2021. Eric Moody provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

The NBA schedule has eight games on the main slate for Monday night. Four have an implied point total of 230 or more. One game you'll definitely want exposure is the Milwaukee Bucks versus the Washington Wizards. Here are three tips on how to attack the overall slate when assembling lineups.

First of all, it’s important to look at the pace and Vegas lines. Second, it’s also useful to understand the number of fantasy points a team gives up to a specific position. The final tip is to identify value plays that are critical on a slate of any size. You don’t have to necessarily go for the cheapest value, but you want to identify players who have a high floor and a high ceiling.

This article will supply you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for the DraftKings on 3/15/21. You can also check out today’s FanDuel lineup picks. It’s also important to monitor injury news as a result of COVID-19 as the slate can completely change before line-up lock. Without further ado, let’s dive into the picks!

DraftKings DFS Guards

Luka Doncic - PG, DAL vs LAC ($10,600)

Doncic scored 21 points, accumulated 12 assists and five rebounds last Saturday against the Nuggets. Did you know that he has 18 double-doubles in 34 games played this season? This was Doncic's fourth consecutive game with 47 or more DraftKings fantasy points. He leads all players with a Usage Rate of 35.8%. This metric is an estimate of the percentage of team plays used by a player while he was on the floor. Doncic faces a Clippers team that has allowed the 10th most DraftKings fantasy points to point guards this season.

De'Aaron Fox - PG, SAC vs CHA ($9,100)

Fox had 32 points, stockpiled seven rebounds, six assists, and one steal in 40 minutes against the Hornets last Saturday. This was his third consecutive game with 51 or more DraftKings fantasy points. Fox (30.3%) has the seventh-highest Usage Rate among point guards this season. Fox faces a Hornets team that has allowed the 11th most DraftKings fantasy points to point guards this season.

Devin Booker - SG, PHO vs MEM ($8,000)

Booker scored 20 points, collected seven assists, four rebounds, and a block last Saturday against the Pacers. He played 37 minutes against Indiana which happened to be his most since February 10th as the 24-year old guard has recently dealt with a minor knee issue. Booker (32.2%) has the third-highest Usage Rate among guards and has the tenth highest Player Efficiency Rating (22.6). PER sums up all a player's positive accomplishments, subtracts the negative accomplishments, and returns a per-minute rating of a player's performance. Booker is one of the top guards on tonight's slate.

Bonus Guards: Chris Paul ($7,800), Malcolm Brogdon ($7,400), Terry Rozier ($6,900), Jrue Holiday ($6,500)

DraftKings DFS Forwards

LeBron James - PG/SF, LAL vs GS ($10,300)

James is probable for tonight's game against the Warriors with an ankle injury. He had a double-double against the Pacers last Friday night. James scored 18 points, gathered three rebounds, 10 assists, and a steal. The veteran did miss one game heading into the All-Star break, but has a Usage Rate of 32% this season. James has averaged 24.4 points, 6.2 assists, 5.8 rebounds, and 32 minutes per game over his last five. The Warriors have allowed the ninth most DraftKings fantasy points per game.

Kristaps Porzingis - PF/C, DAL vs LAC ($8,300)

Porzingis finished with 25 points, six rebounds, three blocks, one assist, and one steal last Saturday against the Nuggets. He has averaged 21.4 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.6 steals, 1.4 blocks, and 31.2 minutes per game over his last five games. Porzingis has scored 40 or more DraftKings fantasy points in three out of five games. His Usage Rate is 27.6% which ranks fifth among power forwards. Porzingis has the seventh-highest Player Efficiency Rating.

Jerami Grant - SF/PF, DET vs. SA ($7,500)

Grant scored 22 points, racked up three rebounds, two assists, and a block last Saturday against the Nets. He has the seventh-highest Usage Rate and 10th highest Player Efficiency Rating among small forwards. Grant faces a Spurs team that has allowed the third-most DraftKings fantasy points to small forwards.

Bonus Forwards: Khris Middleton ($8,100), Gordon Hayward ($7,300), Michael Porter Jr. ($6,800), RJ Barrett ($6,200)

DraftKings DFS Centers

Nikola Jokic - C, DEN vs IND ($10,700)

Jokic scored 26 points, garnered 11 assists and eight rebounds against the Mavericks last Saturday. He has the fourth-highest Usage Rate (29.6%) and second-highest Player Efficiency Rating (35.8) among centers. Jokic has amassed more double-doubles than any other player in NBA history this season with 34 across 38 games. He's averaged 62.3 DraftKings fantasy points per game over his last six games. Jokic has the highest ceiling of any center on the slate.

Domantas Sabonis - PF/C, IND vs DEN ($9,600)

Sabonis had a breathtaking performance last Saturday against the Suns. He scored 22 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists, four steals, and one block across 43 minutes. This was Sabonis' fourth triple-double of this season. His ability to contribute in multiple statistical categories makes Sabonis a viable option any night the Pacers play.

Bonus Centers: Richaun Holmes ($6,400), Deandre Ayton ($6,300), Marvin Bagley III ($6,000)
