DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (11/11/22): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on November 11th, 2022. John Brubaker provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

Happy Friday, RotoBallers! The NBA season is finally here, and we have a solid eight games slotted for this evening. It's a new season, with players switching teams, rookies joining the fold, and rotations mixing and matching as teams learn to gel. My model will take time to adjust to these changes, but it's my duty to give you all the best picks possible. I had a nice night on opening night, so I'll look to keep that momentum going forward into today.

Tonight, we have ourselves an eight-game slate on this lovely Friday. With both FanDuel and DraftKings having multi-position eligibility players, we'll have to attack slates accordingly to make our lineups as optimal as possible. That's where I come in! I'll look to find my personal top plays and values for tonight's slate. Things can change during the day as well, so I'll do my best to update as news comes out!

Here are my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 11/11/22. Keep an eye on RotoBaller’s NBA injury news and also our full NBA injury report today to stay up to date before lineups are locked.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

De'Aaron Fox, at LAL (FD: $8,000, DK: $8,600)

I'll start tonight's slate off with De'Aaron Fox. Fox has had a great start to the season, logging 25.2 points per game, 5.0 rebounds per game, and 5.1 assists per game. Relative to his price, he's coming off of a few fantasy "clunkers," most recently logging 15 points, two rebounds, and eight assists in 29 minutes against the Cavs. Tonight, though, I have him projected for a  29.88% usage rate across 34.4 minutes in what should be a good matchup against the Lakers, who rank 23rd in point guard efficiency.

Jalen Brunson, vs DET (FD: $7,600, DK: $6,800)

It's becoming somewhat of a tradition in these articles, and we'll once again attack the Pistons from the point guard position. After back-to-back stellar performances, DraftKings did us a bit of a favor by dropping Brunson's price by $300. We'll look to take advantage, as the Knicks' point guard projects to a 24.53% usage rate across 33.6 minutes against Detroit, who ranks dead last in point guard efficiency at 30.

Jevon Carter, at SA (FD: $5,100, DK: $5,300)

While I certainly could be wrong, I find it hard to believe there will be a higher-owned guard than Jevon Carter tonight. Just two nights ago, Carter had himself a career game, scoring 36 points while adding four rebounds and 12 assists in Milwaukee's overtime win against the Thunder. His price has hiked significantly since; however, my model has him peaking once more, with projections north of 5x on both sites. He projects to around 30 minutes tonight with a usage rate north of 20% against a Spurs defense that ranks 27th in point guard efficiency. I'll ride the wave as it appears that the Bucks will be without Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday once again.

Also consider: Devin Vassell (FD: $7,000, DK: $6,800), Malik Monk (FD: $4,700, DK: $4,500)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jayson Tatum, vs DEN (FD: $10,100, DK: $10,100)

Heading northeast up to Boston, we'll have a look at Jayson Tatum. In past seasons, I've been hesitant to play Tatum, particularly in cash due to his inconsistency, but it appears since last year's trade deadline he's really come into his own. He enters tonight's showdown against the Nuggets averaging 31.2 points per game, 6.9 rebounds per game, and 4.1 assists per game. He's a usage monster, projecting north of 30% usage across 37.4 minutes tonight, and while the matchup with Denver isn't the easiest, it should be high-scoring.

Bobby Portis, at SAS (FD: $5,800, DK: $7,000)

I wrote up Bobby Portis last week while Jrue Holiday and Giannis were both in the lineup, and since his price hasn't moved, at least on FanDuel, it appears that neither of the aforementioned will be playing. I'll happily take advantage of that. Portis didn't necessarily light it up without Giannis and Holiday in there Wednesday evening, logging just 13 points, nine rebounds, and two assists across 34 minutes. However, I'll "run it back" in a strong matchup against the Spurs where he projects to garner a 21.71% usage rate across 28.2 minutes (if not more) against the Spurs defense that ranks 22nd in power forward efficiency.

Obi Toppin, vs DET (FD: $4,200, DK: $4,000)

While certainly a dart-throw in GPPs here, my model seemingly LOVES Obi Toppin tonight. Despite his small price hike, Toppin is seemingly playing more minutes and garners a strong matchup against the Pistons tonight, who rank 29th in power forward efficiency. It'll come down to how many minutes he plays and whether he'll be able to "unlock" his ceiling potential, but even in his 20-minute projection, he easily eclipses 5.5x value on both sites. I'd stay far away in cash, but who knows, he could win you a GPP tonight.

Also consider: Domantas Sabonis (FD: $9,100, DK: $8,500), Julius Randle (FD: $7,400, DK: $7,900)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Al Horford, vs DEN (FD: $5,200, DK: $5,400)

Last but not least, I'll head back up to Boston and take a look at Al Horford for the center position. While Horford has relatively struggled this season, at least for a guy who was arguably playing the best basketball of his career last season, Horford has picked it up quite a bit of late.

In his last four games, Horford is averaging 13.0 points per game on 76.2% shooting, while adding in 5.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. While his usage rate projects low, at just 12.05%, he should play north of 31 minutes tonight according to my model, and actually projects north of 6x value tonight on both sites despite the difficult matchup against Denver.

Also consider: Brook Lopez (FD: $6,700, DK: $6,300)
