BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 3% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Something happened during the last seven days regarding the New York Giants. Going straight to the point: fantasy folks realized that Sterling Shepard, for the second consecutive season, is the receiver to roster among those playing for Big Blue--thus the rise in Shepard's rostership in Yahoo, which is sitting at 56% as I write this. Next in line? Darius Slayton, who has improved his fantasy outcomes in back-to-back weeks.
Slayton is not Shepard, mind you, and he won't have as many chances as the latter--nor WR Kenny Golladay or TE Evan Engram when he's back healthy either. That being said, Slayton is just 24 and entering his third season after putting together a good rookie campaign (12.1 FPPG) and regressing a bit last year on a larger role (8.8 FPPG). This season Slayton has had a 9.5 and lately a 14.4 PPR-point pair of games, he's been targeted at least 6 times in both games, and he's finished with 3 receptions in each for a combined 6 over the first two weeks of the season.
Facing a good secondary last TNF, Slayton finished with a 6-3-54-1 leading New York to its lone receiving touchdown--all skill-position players considered. Don't make Slayton one of your go-to players in pretty much any format, as he's more than likely to score around 10 FPPG in this offense, but consider fielding him in deeper formats as your FLEX while New York still has players recovering from injuries and missing time/having limited roles.
